Job description

The Diploma Engineering Trainee will undergo a structured training program designed to provide comprehensive exposure to various aspects of engineering within the organization. The trainee will work closely with senior engineers and management to gain practical experience and develop technical skills in preparation for a full-time engineering role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Training and Development:

  • Participate in a structured training program, including on-the-job training, classroom sessions, and online courses.
  • Attend workshops, seminars, and industry conferences as required.

• Technical Assistance:

  • Assist senior engineers in planning, designing, and implementing engineering projects.
  • Perform routine tasks such as drafting, documentation, data analysis, and quality control.
  • Support in the troubleshooting and maintenance of equipment and systems.

• Project Participation:

  • Contribute to various engineering projects by providing technical support and ensuring project objectives are met.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute project plans and meet deadlines.

• Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of all activities, including project documentation, technical reports, and maintenance logs.
  • Prepare and present regular progress reports to supervisors and stakeholders.

• Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, industry standards, and safety regulations.
  • Participate in safety drills and training programs to maintain a safe working environment.

About you

• Educational Background:

  • Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field) from a recognized institution.

• Technical Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of engineering principles, techniques, and tools.
  • Proficiency in relevant software such as AutoCAD, MATLAB, SolidWorks, or similar.
  • Familiarity with project management software is a plus.

• Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when required.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new skills and technologies.
