Summer Fellowship Programme (May 2025)

Join IIT Madras for a two-month summer fellowship to engage in high-quality academic research with a stipend.

Your role

Key responsibilities are as follows:

• Enhance awareness and interest in academic research.
• Participate in a goal-oriented summer internship at IIT Madras.
• Collaborate with departments such as Engineering, Sciences, Humanities, and Management.

About you

Ideal candidates will have:

• Enrollment in the 3rd year of UG (BE/B.Tech/B.Sc Engg) or 3rd/4th year of Integrated/Dual Degree in Masters Programme (M.E./M.Tech/M.Sc).
• 1st year of M.Sc./M.A, MBA with an outstanding academic background.High ranks in university exams, seminar presentations, project execution, and participation in design contests.
• Achievements in Mathematics Olympiad or other awards/distinctions.
• Note: IIT students are not eligible.

Compensation & benefits

• Stipend of Rs. 15,000 per month for up to 2 months, prorated for the actual internship period.
• Hostel and mess facilities available on a payment basis, subject to availability.

Participants will gain exposure to high-quality academic research and collaboration with various departments.

Career progression

This programme enhances academic and research skills, providing a strong foundation for future academic or professional pursuits.
